At the last minute on Friday before Spring break started, I decided to take a couple of days to spend with the grands and I'm so glad I did. We had a great time. On Monday, Kacee and I took the kids to Bentonville to the Amazeum and it definitely was amazing. I can't wait to go back; we didn't get through very much of it. There were so many different areas for the kids to be interactive with such as a "walmart-type" store with food, little green vests for the kids to wear, check out stands, a "cafe" and a bakery. I think the boys spent probably close to an hour in just that one area. The picture below is a dinasaur dig. They even had special places for just the little kiddos which LilyAnn loved.
There was an outside play area complete with a "beach sand box" (not pictured).
A water area to explore different ways water works.
The next day, Gary and I took the kids to the new park in Barling. It is really a fun park although I didn't get very many pictures.
Next we went to the Fort Smith Museum, rode the Trolley car and went to Judge Parker's court house. The park service has revamped the court room so you can actually go in and "be" the judge.....
Or his assistant.
There was also a replica of the jail area.
I think the boys really had a good time. I know Gary and I did.
