Play School for Noah

Today was Noah's first day at Play school. I don't know if he understood or not seeing as he is only 17 months old but I'm sure he had a great time. He is very social and loves being around other children. He got a haircut yesterday, his first by the way,  and was already for his big day. He only went a half day today and when Kacee got him home and began fixing his lunch, he just pooped out before she could get it done. Poor little man. Guess he jus played too much. Such a sweetie pie.

Snow

Can you believe it!? We got 8 inches of snow on the first day of spring. How cool is that. I love snow when there is no ice to go with it. Down here in Arkansas that is usually what happens...ice then a little snow. This time there was NO ICE and lots of snow. It's was great BUT now I am ready for the spring and my gardens. I am ready to get my back porch put back together after that storm last summer which we haven't done yet. We have had it rebuilt but now it needs to be painted and everything put back plus some. I have some ideas from reading and looking at other blogs with porches that I am going to incorporate into mine and I can't wait to get it done. I'll try to post some pictures when it is finished.

Fun at the park

Finally I am posting some pictures we took at a park in Sapulpa. It is the coolest little park and Noah had a wonderful time both days that we went. And as you can tell he even met his "first love." This little girl came right up to him and gave him that biggest hug. Noah wasn't quite sure what to do about that but later decided he really liked it and wanted to continue huggin her. Well, this little girl finally had had enough of Noah and his hugs and left. Noah got his little heart broken when she ran off. Poor guy. BUT when his mom said it was time to eat, he forgot all about her. Food always wins out with little boys.

Thankful Thursday

I am joining Rhondi at Rose Colored Glasses for Thankful Thursday. I too am thankful for a family that loves being together. That is so special. My kids like being together and my sisters and I love being together. I do have some family members that don't get  together and I am so sorry for them. Family is everything.

Love Your Heart by Tim McGraw and Tom Douglas

Wow! What a great little book. The story is very simple and delightful, the illustrations are amazing and I fell in love with Katie right away. Katie is a sweet, unselfish little girl that just wanted to do something for an upcoming talent show at school. She tried several things before she finally came up with an idea of what to do. At the talent show, a friend couldn't perform her talent because of an injury so Katie comes to the rescue. I can't imagine any little girl that wouldn't love this story and Katie.

Another weekend

I can't believe another week has already come and gone. We had a great time at Jenny's last weekend but don't have pictures to post yet. Jenny had found a great little playground in Sapulpa for Noah to play on. You have to see it to really appreciate how cute it was. On the way home I started getting sick and by Monday had full blown bronchitis, Jamie got sick that night and on Tuesday doc said he had bronchitis and pneumonia. THEN on Wednesday Gary got sick, when to doc and he has bronchitis and severe asthma. NEXT Noah started running a temp and Jamie decided he needed to take Noah on to the doc (which his doc is in Talihina which is about an hour and a half away) and this was about 9:30 that night. SO Jessica went with him. They got back around 3:30 in the morning. Noah has bronchitis and an ear infection. ENOUGH!!!! Although we all feel bad, these are things we will get over and have good health again. I am so thankful that none of these illnesses are really bad and that we have good medical care to help us through this. Thankful for God giving the doctors the knowledge they need and medicines we need. Otherwise, these illnesses could be deadly and are in some countries. God is and God is good.
This weekend Karen, Lana and I are going to be participating in an antique show at Phoenix Village Expo. It is set up one weekend a month and the last two months we just visited. This month we decided to try our hand at it. Lana has a pretty successful little business repainting and repurposing furniture in Missouri and she will be bringing her stuff down here. Karen and I have pretty much cleaned out our booth at the antique mall and will have it at Phoenix Village Expo. I hope we do as good as I think we will. We'll be setting up tonight and be there all day Saturday and most of the day Sunday. Come see us if you get a chance.

Relaxing weekend!

I have really been looking forward to this weekend. We, my family, are going over to Tulsa to stay and visit with my oldest daughter, Jenny. She always welcomes us so warmly into her home and with as many of us as there are that really means a lot. At night it is kind of wall-to-wall beds with people sleeping everywhere. Her home is a two bedroom home but has a very spacious living room and dining room so most of us crash there and she has a BIG sectional very comfy sofa. We always have so much fun over there. We really don't have anything planned and that is the best part. We can just relax. I'll post pictures when we get back. Gary and I are leaving early to take Noah over there so Jenny can show him off at her office. She loves him immensely. Well, we all do really. Can't wait for the next one to be born sometime the first part of July. I am so thankful to God for this wonderful life He has given me. It hasn't been perfect but whose is. He didn't intend for life to be but he has blessed me beyond anything I could have thought of. God is and God is good.
