Our annual trip

Every winter for the last three or four years, we have tried to take to the boys to a motel that has indoor swimming. We used to do this for our kids when they were little because they thought it was special to be able to swim in the winter time. Last year I found a motel in Tulsa that has an indoor water park. We decided we would go again this year only we went a month early because of Miss LilyAnn's arrival in February. That's about all we did was let them swim and eat. But we gathered lots of fun times together and lots of memories.

Feels like spring

Monday was a beautiful day as well as this entire weekend. It felt like spring even though it is the middle of January. I was almost expecting Walmart to have their spring flowers out in the garden center. The boys (and pretty soon I am not going to be able to say that in referring to the grandkids as there will be a little girl to add to the mix) spent the night and then we played outside all day. It was wonderful after being cooped up for weeks because of the cold weather. I had gotten most of the leaves raked away from their fort and mud kitchen, straightened up the patio just so we could play. And play they did! We started out the day as usual............watching some Scooby Doo or Octonauts.
Then is was outside to the fort. Don't think Isaiah was too sure about going down the slide.
They were excited to get to play with their mud kitchen again.

Chickens

Jamie and Kacee have some of the prettiest chickens and now they are laying eggs. I can't wait to get moved out there and have my own chickens.

More Christmas

I know I should have posted this back during the Christmas season but it was so incredibly busy I guess I just forgot and since this is MY journal about My family I am going to post it now. Not too late, Right? One of the reasons we were so busy was because we were trying to find a chance to get Jessica moved into her new home. I never thought we would have so much trouble just finding the time to do but we finally did. In her kitchen is a nice big island just right for making Christmas cookies and she kindly let us make them there. My island is small and has my stove top in it so doesn't give a lot of room to make cookies. She invited some friends over with their daughter to join the boys in making of our annual Christmas cookies.

Happy New Year

I don't make new year's resolutions but I do want to pray blessings on my family and friends for 2015. I am expecting great blessings this year for me, my family and friends. I pray we all grow closer to the Lord and to each other. I pray we all realize the really important things in our lives. I pray for peace and prosperity, for health, safety and joy. I pray chains are broken and God's word is unleashed in our lives.
As far as expecting, I do know one great thing we are expecting and that is our first granddaughter. WooHoo. We are so excited.
Happy New Year!
