You know, sometimes the holidays can be very stressful with everyone trying to spend time with this side of the family and that side of the family. I never really had to deal with that because my in-laws didn't do Thanksgiving and always had Christmas on Christmas Eve and my parents did Thanksgiving and Christmas on Christmas day. So easy but I always felt kind of sad for Gary's folks because I thought OK now what do you do on Christmas day? They were alone. I never wanted to be those people that didn't have family around at that day. And I still don't. With one of my kids now married with kids, we struggle with trying to all get together. And even though we all live in the same house and get to see each other all the time, it's just not the same on a holiday. I still want to have our holidays together. I'm sure all families do BUT enough. On to other things.
We have our tree up. We put it up on Thanksgiving morning, never happened before. Wasn't going to do much Black Friday shopping but of course, we ended up going after all. Now on to Christmas and hopefully a little peacefulness.
I bought a new tree this year and I so love it. It is going to look so good in our new house. I can't wait to get our house built and get moved in. It can't come soon enough, although I am going to miss all the activity with so many people in the house.
Crazy Thanksgiving Day pictures from our little monster and his older brother, a Bieber look-alike.
These guys really are the "Kings of Cool"
