Already time for another trip and another linking to
Whistle Stop Cooking for Sandi's Traveling Tuesdays. Don't you just love to travel? Well, apparently we do or we wouldn't keep going on these trips. For our trip this Tuesday, let's take a look out West, all the way to Yellowstone National Park. This is one of those places I never dreamed I would ever get to see. We didn't really see a lot of animals but we were OK with that. This is the cabin we stayed in in Cody, Wyoming at Cody's Cowboy Village. There was a nightly rodeo right next to it but yet far enough away that we didn't really hear them at night.
This was our first glimpse of the animals in Yellowstone National Park. This guy was in no hurry to get to wherever he was going and he was not a bit concerned of the line of traffic back up behind him.
I didn't know there were canyons like this in the park. Giant waterfalls and such gorgeous scenery. Wow, God really knows how to decorate.
The water in this hole was very hot and lots of sulpher. Some of the holes had a rust-like stain around them.
And fnally...Old Faithful. Wow! There are no words to decscribe this scene.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of that Buffalo running... me thinks he needed some buffalo wings.
teeee-heee-heee :-0
Hi, I have been to Yellowstone several times and every time I see it I fall in love with it all over again, there are "Ohhhh..." moments around every curve. It took us all day to go just a few miles because we kept stopping to take photos.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your photos, they are gorgeous. I never did get that close to a buffalo, I saw them out in the field, I'm afraid of them like I am afraid of a moose, I give them LOTS of room. They are way to HUGE to argue with.
Now I am wanting to go to Yellowstone again!
Hugs, Cindy
