Bet you didn't even know I was gone. You did? I'm impressed. Didn't mean to be gone this long but we just spent last week at church camp and then this week has been so busy getting caught up with everything around here and trying to get rested up. The first part of the week was for our elementary kids and we only cooked for about 50 including counselors. The kids absolutely love church camp and are never ready to go home. Guess that is a good thing. I especially love watching them worship Jesus. It is so sweet and so pure.
I had also brought Noah with me for the kids camp. He had so much fun and felt so big. I also couldn't keep his shoes on him. It's not like him to go barefoot all the time but he apparently loved it. His feet were just black at night for his bath. I should have taken a picture of them. I sure don't want to hear from him that he can't go barefoot here anymore.
From Thursday through Monday we held the teen camp and let me tell you we were completely packed. The camp holds 160 and we had everything filled. We had 5 churches including ours and the power of God fell on those kids. It was amazing. After we got home, there were so many excited comments about camp, those wishing we were still there, looking forward to next year, wanting to stay in contact with all the new friends they made. Incredible how God blessed our camp. This has been a dream of ours to have this camp filled ever since we began with just a few campers seven years ago. Actually, Gary and I have long wanted to run a teen camp but kind of gave up that idea but I see this dream being placed in our kids hearts. Maybe they can accomplish this and we can help.
Jamie and Kacee came on Thursday night to stay for teen camp. Of course the boys came with them. Jonah loved it because it was all outdoors, Noah loved it for the new friends he made.

Bike
Kids and hubs got me something for Mother's Day that I can't believe I even asked for.......a bicycle. Not anything fancy with all the gears and stuff. Just an old-fashioned cruiser with the brake on the peddle not the handlebars. This is the kind of bike I grew up with and I love it. BUT do you know how many years it has been since I have been on one of these contraptions!!! I'm really scared to ride it. What was I thinking. It's a death trap. I think they really just thought this was a way to get rid of me. Well, I'll show them, I just won't ride it. I won't...I...I did it. Just a little, just around the yard and guess what! I can still ride a bike. Now if I can just get up the courage to ride around the neighborhood and not feel like everyone watching is going to be selling tickets for the next show.

just saying
Just saying how nice it is to have one of my boys here with me tonight. Noah came over to bring his dog so he can get groomed tomorrow and then Noah decided he needed to "spend some time" with his Nana and Papa.
Plus this is what you look like after trying to help save a baby from going into the street. Best not to get to running to fast or you end up slapping the sidewalk. Such a brave little boy.

Anniversary
Well, I blogged the before and I blogged the day after. But I failed to blog the day of. I didn't forget, we were just so busy the entire Memorial Day weekend building the grandsons a treehouse/fort thingy and even now we still haven't had time to celebrate. But hopefully this week we will. You see........May 27th was our 40th wedding anniversary! 40 years!!!!! I can't believe it until I look around at all of my grown children and growing grandchildren. I am so extremely blessed to have been given this man as my husband. He is a great husband and dad and was a great son and son-in-law too. Thank you Jesus for my blessing.
